@@Tykoon Bigger is better with satellite TV. I’d say an 8 foot dish is a minimum, but a 10 foot dish is better.

@@RapidTransitFan Whatever RF channels are coming in. Alternatively you could connect the antenna to the pass through (RF input) on the back of the modulator, and that passes the antenna channels through to the TV’s tuner. The modulated channel you create on ch. 3 or 4 gets spliced into the signal and scans in as an analog channel.

You choose either channel 3 or 4, but only one works for both.

Good idea, but I’d say it’s unlikely.

ZipWave TV is legit though.I'd say stay away from that one.

Unless you live near the border and can use an antenna to receive them from a nearby US television market.

It’s the 5G towers that are the problem.

Recordings made to an external hard drive are encoded in the original MPEG2 format. Here’s some additional information: support.tablotv.com/hc/en-us/articles/15698120488212-How-to-Expand-Recording-Storage-on-the-4th-Generation-Tablo-Device. Personally I’ve never tried transferring Tablo recordings from a hard drive to a computer. The resolution would probably be in whatever resolution the program was originally aired.

@@NorthcoasterHobby It's likely not possible to view any recordings without playing them through the Tablo. I haven't purchased one yet, but just the fact that the external HD has to be formatted while connected to the Tablo indicates it's a proprietary format exclusive the the Tablo. I'm buying one soon, no matter.

You’ll need a much bigger dish to receive MeTV. Try to find an 8 or 10 foot C band dish.

They're not showing promos right now they're showing the real cartoons but every once in a while they'll take a break and show promos to let you know what's coming on later on

So far it’s a no on Spectrum.

I would stay away from the Y cables. Stick with the A/B switch or diplexer. Besides those options the best thing by far would be the Televes SmartKom.

@@joeprete7424 I’ve never tried that one, it pretty much looks like a diplexer, nothing fancy. The main issue with diplexers is multipath, where both antennas pick up the same station and the signals cancel each other out. You could try it out and see, or experiment with a less expensive diplexer.

An outdoor antenna will usually work better than an indoor antenna. That’s probably the best way to pick up more channels.

The V9 is probably a bit smoother, but I haven’t had any problems with the V5H. Both decode H.265 video.
